Quick Summary

In general, the Addlink S70 and Addlink X70 are faster than the Addlink S68 at maximum sequential reading, maximum sequential writing, maximum random reading and maximum random writing. The one exception is that the 256 GB S68 is faster than the 256 GB S70 and X70 at maximum sequential writing.

The only differences between the S70 and X70 are that the X70 comes with a heatsink in addition to supporting RGB lighting.

Form Factor

The S68, S70 and X70 all use the M.2 2280 form factor.

Heatsink

The Addlink X70 is the only solid state drive in this versus guide to come with a heatsink.

According to internal tests done by Addlink using CrystalDiskMark, the S70 and X70 are identical when it comes to maximum sequential reading.

When you compared the same capacities, the 256 GB versions of the S70 and X70 are 1000 MB per second faster than the 256 GB version of the S68. The 512 GB versions of the S70 and X70 are 1300 MB per second faster than the 512 GB version of the S68. The 1 TB versions of the S70 and X70 are 900 MB per second faster than the 1 TB version of the S68.
